These two images show his ideas for "Homework" by Daft Punk and "Elephant" by White Stripes. I like the idea of illustrating the album cover as I think it looks really cool and unique

MISE EN SCENE I AM GOING TO USE
I need to organise a list of things which I am going to use. This will enable to me be more organised for when it comes to filming as I won't be frantically rushing around trying to make the room look quirkier and interesting.
- Candles- I have a variety which would fit in well with the vintage theme which I am trying to convey.

<<<<
These are some of them which I am going to use. They look quite vintage-esque (especially second in from the left and second and third in from the right).
By positioning these items in a cluster with a variety of other items of a similar style, the room will look more quirky and interesting which is one of the things I need to improve on from my video first draft.
- Vintage style clock- This will make the room look a lot cooler and more interesting to look at. My feedback was to make the room fuller and more interesting so by adding the clock, I will make the room look better as well as managing to stick with the vintage theme.
- Pillows- They are vintage style; I have an owl pillow which looks slightly old fashioned and quirky as well as blue flowered ones and a vintage union jack pillow.
The point of these would be to fit in with the location (a bedroom- comfort) as well as looking interesting and unique to the audience. - Throws- These will make it look busier. There is one particular throw which I have in a blue colour with vintage looking flowers on it which would fit in well with the style I am trying to convey in my video.
- Jewelry- This is a prop/costume piece which will reflect my artist in the video (as she is supposedly quite trendy and cool and would therefore wear a lot of jewelry) as well as being things which appeal to my target audience. From my target audience research I have found that the audience are interested in things such as fashion and shopping and so would therefore find quirky pieces of jewelry interesting to look at.
- Boxes- These (as well as filling space) will look good and will be able to have a range of other items piled on top of them to make the room look more full which is the point and look which I am aiming to achieve.
- Trunks- I have some old style trunks which would look very vintage inspired as well as being able to have other items which would be piled on top to make the room look fuller and more 'vintage'.
- Chests- Chests of draws would look good piled on top of things as they have a vintage twist and would take up room in order to look interesting and appealing (and fun!) to my intended target audience.
- Mirrors- I used a vintage style mirror to do an over the shoulder shot in my first draft which I liked. I want to use the same mirror and maybe use some hand mirrors and pocket mirrors which I have got to fill the location and give a busy atmosphere.
- Random items- These will be very quirky and cool which should drawn the users eye and make them seem interested in the mise en scene of my video. I have a number of items which I want to use including picture frames, a welly boot money box (shown below- links in well with the song title!!!!!!!!!) and a statue of a cat which sounds horrible but is rather cool. All of these things will be attractive to my intended target audience and will make them find the video interesting to watch.
- Fairy lights- I used these in the first draft video and I have found some others in a slightly darker light which I think will contrast well with the bright ones I have already got. This will gove the room a fun, young, girly atmosphere which is a look I want to give off to those who watch my video.
- Books- I can get some vintage looking books which would go well with the rest of the mise en scene I want to use as well as making the room look to be styled in a vintage way which is what I want. They can be stacked or spread to look busy which is the intended look.
- Fans- I have 2 which I want to use- both of which are very flowery and vintage looking and would therefore tie in well with the look and theme which I want to convey in my video.
- Bags- Although these would be clothing/accessories and may not look as vintage as I would like them to, they are fashionable items which would appeal to my intended target audience as they are interested in these sorts of items.
- Hanging trinkets- This would look very vintage and very busy which would add to the whole, overall look which I am trying to show. They would hang off anything and would look pretty as well as vintage as well as busy as well as exciting as well as cool so would therefore fit well with the aesthetic I am aiming for
I believe that using these will add to the overall look of the room and make my location look quirky to match the song and style of my artist. Using these will make the location and overall video more aesthetically pleasing to the intended target audience.
DIGIPACK/POSTER DESIGNS
I have drawn up some possible ideas for my digipack and poster. This is so I can see what I like and what could be improved for my final product.
DIGIPACK
Idea 1
I have decided to do incorporate both hand drawn designs (the record would be drawn and most of the writing used on the digipack would be hand written). I think that using photographs on the digipack would make it look more professional however I like the idea of hand drawing images as I think it reflects the style of the song which I have chosen.
I have used a lot of patterns which could look quite vintage (yet stylish) ijn the images as I want my video to link in well with my digipack and poster.
Idea 2
This cover (top centre) took insporation from Kanye Wests 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' album cover as it is just a painting which is quite small and placed in the centre. I liked this idea as I thought it looked quite different and, although it is under stated, still has an impact on the person when they are looking at the cover.
I would use girly colour schemes (pink, ourple, etc) however they would be more pastel colours as I think these would reflect the vintage feel which I want to portray.
POSTER
I like this idea for a potential poster because I want it to be hand drawn. This is because it will look more interesting and will stand out among others. I like the home made feel as I think that it reflects the relaxed, fun style of the genre which I have chosen.

POSSIBLE MISE EN SCENE
In order to get a similar feel to the video as there is in the Florence and The Machine videos I need to use mise en scene and props. I have made a list of some of the possible props which I would like to use in the video.
MIRROR
I think this would look cool and give a vintage feel which I want to convey in the video.
TRUNKS
These props are quite big and wouldfill space as well as being vintage which adds to the look I want toput across in the video.
BIRD CAGES
Like the others, these would look vintage and would add to the look of my video. Also they could be quite big and could fillup space.
PICTURE FRAMES
Vintage style empty picture frames would also add to the vintage feel of my video and would fill space.
FAIRY LIGHTS
These would look good wrapped around the picture frames/bird cages/mirror and would make it look more fun and interesting as well as quite young to appeal to the target market.
CANDLES
These would look more interesting and would add to the laid back fun vibe of the song.
